As we reach the midpoint of June, I wanted to take a moment to recognize and celebrate Pride Month. This is a time when we come together as a community to honor and support our LGBTQ+ students, staff, and families, and to promote acceptance, understanding, and love for all.
Pride Month holds great significance as it commemorates the Stonewall Uprising, a pivotal event in the history of the LGBTQ+ rights movement. It serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for equality and justice, and the importance of creating safe and inclusive spaces for everyone. As an educational institution, we have a responsibility to cultivate an environment that embraces diversity and celebrates the uniqueness of each individual in our learning community.
At our school, we strive to create an inclusive atmosphere where all students feel valued, respected, and safe to express their true selves.
